There are over a 100 career options in the Australian forestry industry. If you have any training needs Arbre can connect you with a relevant Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and also assist with access to funding/subsidies if available.
Programs
We have an expanding range of programs to provide pathways in to the forestry industry or to up-skill the existing work-force. For example we are currently developing a Next Generation Forestry Operators Program to add to the available menu . Please explore the tiles below for more information.
The Forestry Operator Pre-Employment Program is a 5 day entry level micro credential training program, run in conjunction with Timber Training Creswick (RTOID 4168), and will provide the following Certificate II Forest Operations Units of learning:
workplace health and safety policies and procedures in forest and wood products operations.
environmental protection procedures in forest and wood products operations.
operation of a forest machine simulator in a virtual environment.
The School Forestry Work Experience Program is a 3 day work experience Program, which has been developed to introduce Year 10 students to potential career paths within the forest industry. Click on the picture above for further information.
The Next Generation Forestry Operators Program is an Australian School-based Apprenticeship for students in Year 10, 11 or 12 in Tasmania. Students will complete a Certificate II in Forest Operations, with a focus on Forestry Machine Operations. Click on the picture above for further information.
The FIVE+5 Pre-Employment Program is a training program developed to address the shortage of skilled labour. Participants will complete up to five nationally accredited units of competency. This program is Australia wide. Click on the picture above for further information.
Community Engagement
The Cadet Forester Program is an Australian School-based Apprenticeship for students in Year 10, 11 or 12 in Tasmania. Students will complete a Certificate II in Forest Operations, with a focus on becoming a Forester. Click on the picture above for further information.
